Stretching Can Add Value to your Life

A flexologist works within your limitations and is trained to match the resistance of your body and muscles. This means they pay close attention as to how far they can stretch you. Having a trained flexologist stretch you ensures that each time you have an assisted stretch, you go a little further into the stretch within a safe environment. This ensures that you don’t go into the ‘danger zone’.

The flexologist creates an awareness of where you are and what level you’re on in regards to your stretching, especially with people who don’t stretch on a regular basis. The flexologist is able to educate you on a ‘normal’ mobility range. Without an awareness of where we currently are, we are not able to change and work on where it is that we need to get to.

Assisted stretching will enable an increased range of motion, allowing you to go further into stretches and control the pressure of the stretch. This type of stretching will also lead to increased mobility and flexibility, which we often see after 2-3 sessions at Stretch Studio.

A flexologist will ensure that the stretch is done correctly and that the limbs of the body are put into the right positions to ensure that you stretch the muscle parts you would like to stretch, providing you with a full body stretch.

A flexologist is able to assist and isolate muscles to produce better results and have designed a program that ensures every session you will go further in your stretches, using PNF ( Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation  - Resistance Stretching ) and breathing.

At Stretch Studio, we have specially designed stretching beds that are fitted with straps to isolate the area of the body you are stretching.

Getting into stretches you cannot do on your own. The only way is the 1 on 1 Assisted Way.

WHY STRETCH?

Assisted stretching is a form of static stretching in which a ‘flexologist’  (professional assisted stretcher) exerts gentle force upon the limb to move it into a new position, holding it for a specific amount of time in order to lengthen and stretch the muscle fibre and tissue.

This helps to create alignment in the muscle and body and contributes to improving flexibility, increased muscle control and an expanded range of motion.

Stretching activates the deep postural muscles. Flexibility within the joints and muscles decreases tension on muscles and relieves stress from the joints. It corrects muscle imbalance which can improve overall fitness and help decrease the risk of injury whilst exercising and in everyday life.

Stretching your muscles as often as possible is the most effective way to improve your flexibility. Having a 1 on 1 professional assisted stretch will give you a much better, deeper stretch that feels great as you do it.
